Chocolate cake is one of the most desired cakes for many children. The fact is that it is the chocolate cake that is constantly broadcast in cartoons and movies. Apparently, in terms of popularity, this dessert overtakes other cakes.
When the cake with chocolate sponge and cream first appeared is unknown. According to different sources, the recipe was created in different countries at about the same time. Most likely, the first chocolate cakes appeared in the 18th century. In America, the ancestor of chocolate cakes is considered to be Sara Lee, and in France – the cooks of Napoleon Bonaparte.
Let’s prepare together a moist quick and budget chocolate cake.
Ingredients of sponge cake for chocolate cake:
- flour – 300 g;
- cocoa – 80 g;
- soda – 6 g;
- eggs – 4 pcs;
- salt – a pinch;
- vanilla sugar – 16 g;
- sugar – 340 g;
- vegetable oil – 120 g;
- milk – 240 ml;
- boiling water – 200 ml;
- vinegar 5-9% – 1 tbsp.
Ingredients for the glaze:
- milk chocolate – 200 g;
- milk – 120 ml;
- butter – 50 g.
Preparation of chocolate cake:
In a bowl with flour pour baking soda and cocoa, mix. In a separate bowl break the eggs, salt, pour vanilla sugar and beat with a mixer until the grains of sand dissolve. Beat
the mixture for 5 minutes, during this time gradually pour sugar to the eggs. Pour the milk and vegetable oil into
the mixture. Sift the bulk products into the egg mixture also with a mixer. Pour boiling water into the liquid dough, continue to whisk.
At the very last moment, pour vinegar into the dough, stir with a spatula. Cover the baking mold with parchment, pour the batter inside.
Bake the biscuit at 150 degrees for 50 minutes.
For the glaze, melt butter in milk in a saucepan. Add the chocolate to the hot mixture and stir.
Sprinkle the chocolate glaze over the top of the biscuit.
You can also make a budget glaze – melt chocolate with vegetable oil in the microwave.
