The history of apple pies began from time immemorial. The fact is that this fruit is one of the most widespread on Earth. Therefore, he was the first to be used in the preparation of sweet baked goods. Of course, pies with fruit ancient people were interested in the least. Let’s prepare a tender apple pie that melts in your mouth.
Ingredients for apple pie:
- apples – 700 g;
- lemon zest;
- lemon juice;
- eggs – 4 pcs;
- salt – a pinch;
- sugar – 200 g;
- flour – 160 g;
- leavening agent – 0.5 tsp.
Preparation of apple pie:
Remove seed pods from apples and peel, cut apples into thin slices. Grate lemon zest to the apple slices. It is important to rub only the yellow part.
Squeeze the juice from the lemon, pour it over the apple slices.
Next, in the bowl of a blender mix eggs with salt and sugar. If desired, add vanilla sugar. Beat until the grains of sand are dissolved, lightened and fluffy.
Combine flour and baking powder, sift into the egg mixture.
Knead the dough with a whisk gently so that there are no lumps.
Cover the baking dish with parchment and place ⅓ of the dough on the bottom. Place ½ of the apple slices on top of the dough.
Cover the apple layer with the second part of the dough.
Place the apple slices on top of the dough again. Cover the apples with the remaining dough.
You can just place all the apples in the batter and mix well a couple times.
Bake the pie at 180 degrees in the oven for 55 minutes.
You can check the readiness of the pie with a wooden skewer – it should come out of the pie dry.
If you don’t like lemon flavor in baked goods, replace the citrus with cinnamon.
