However, even if you buy a fairly expensive cake – there is no assurance that it will turn out to be delicious. The fact is that the production of desserts is put on a conveyor belt. Few manufacturers of confectionery products think about the traditional ways of preparing creams, crusts and other elements of the cake.

We will tell you how to make a simple homemade cake.

Ingredients for homemade cake:

  • eggs – 2 pcs;
  • salt – 2 pinches;
  • powdered sugar – 50 g;
  • butter – 80 ml;
  • flour – 280 g;
  • leavening agent – 10 g;
  • blueberries – 500 g;
  • cornstarch – 60 g;
  • sugar – 115 g
  • water – 100 ml;
  • Greek yogurt – 500 g;
  • vanilla – tsp.

Preparation of homemade cake:

Separate the yolks from the whites, mix the yolks with a pinch of salt. Pour powdered sugar into the yolk mixture, pour in the melted butter and stir.

Cover a baking tray (20×30 cm) with parchment, place the dough on the surface, spread it on the bottom and sides. To prepare the filling, combine blueberries, 30 grams of cornstarch and 50 grams of sugar in a saucepan

. Pour water into the berry mixture, stir and cook over low heat until thickened. Berry jam should be poured into the mold from the dough, evenly spread on the surface.

To prepare the cream, mix vanilla and cornstarch in yogurt. Beat the whites until fluffy, gradually pour sugar, a pinch of salt, continue beating for 7 minutes.

Carefully transfer the protein mixture into the yogurt, mix. Place the cream on the berry layer, spread it evenly over the surface. Grate the frozen lump of dough onto the top of the cake with a small grater.
