Ingredients for sponge cake:
- eggs – 5 pcs;
- salt – a pinch;
- vanilla – a pinch;
- sugar – 150 g;
- flour – 150 g;
- leavening agent – 0.5 tsp.
Preparation of biscuit:
In the bowl of a blender, break the eggs, pour salt and start whipping for about a couple minutes. Pour vanilla and sugar into the egg mixture, whisk for 8 minutes until a fluffy white foam.
Combine flour and baking powder, sift into the egg mixture in batches

Knead the biscuit dough, gently and in one direction only.
The dough should be thick, not runny. Cover the baking mold with parchment, place the dough on the surface and
level the dough with a wooden skewer
. Bake the biscuit in the oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
After cooking, you can check the readiness of the biscuit with a wooden skewer. It should come out of the biscuit dry.
Put the biscuit in cling film and leave it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
This biscuit will make an excellent base for almost any cake.
