You may have already heard of the concept of lazy cakes. These are usually cakes without baking and with simple cream. Such desserts have become popular all over the world, because they allow people without pastry skills to create an uncomplicated cake at home.
The advantage of a lazy homemade cake is also the fact that you can adjust the degree of sugar yourself. For example, you can replace sugar with stevia and other sugar substitutes. The main thing is that the result is a delicious cake.
It is worth trying to prepare homemade Napoleon without baking.
Ingredients for lazy Napoleon:
- puff pastry – 600 g;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- sugar – 100 g;
- flour – 4 tbsp;
- starch – 2 tbsp;
- vanilla sugar – 1 tsp;
- milk – 800 ml;
- butter – 80 g.
Preparation of lazy Napoleon:
In a saucepan break eggs, pour granulated sugar and beat with a whisk until the grains of sand dissolve for a couple of minutes. Pour vanilla sugar and flour into the egg mixture and continue to whisk.
Pour starch into the mixture and continue to stir the mixture. Gradually pour the milk into the egg mixture. Cook the cream over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
Cook the cream for 5-7 minutes until large bubbles form on the surface. After 30 seconds turn off the heat and add the butter to the cream.
Transfer the cream to a bowl and leave to cool, cover the cream with cling film.
In a pastry ring, place layers of cookies first, then the
cream.
We alternate cookies and cream until we run out of cookies for the cakes.
Sprinkle
the top of the cake with cream. Crumble
the rest of the cookies with a rolling pin and sprinkle the top with the crumbs.
Leave the Napoleon in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or overnight.
You can also decorate the sides of the cake with cream and make roses of cream on the top using a pastry nozzle.
You get a simple Napoleon without baking the cakes.
