Pancakes are a very ancient Slavic dish. The first mentions of pancakes appeared in paganism. In ancient times, pancakes were a symbol of the Pancake Day ritual. For pagans, this holiday was important, as it promised a good harvest.
To achieve an abundant harvest, it was necessary to placate the gods. For this reason, the Slavs baked pancakes and brought them as a gift to the goddess Lada.
After the emergence of religion, the Slavs still did not forget about pancakes. This pagan feast found a place in the Christian world. Pancakes
are still a symbol of this spring festival.

Ingredients for pancakes:
- milk – 850 ml;
- eggs – 5 pcs;
- sugar – 3 tbsp;
- salt – 0.5 tsp;
- vegetable oil – 4 tbsp;
- flour – 300 g;
- starch – 50 g.
Preparation of pancakes:
In a bowl with eggs pour salt and beat them on low speed mixer.
Add
granulated sugar to the eggs and continue beating until the grains of sand dissolve.
Pour 150 ml of milk into the eggs and beat. Take 150 grams of flour out of the total amount of flour.
