The Pancake Day holiday has a very important function. Thanks to this celebration, religious people can quickly get rid of all non-fasting foods. All ingredients of animal origin are added to pancakes – milk, kefir and eggs. Plus, you can make

filled with meat, cottage cheese, and other ingredients that are taboo for Christianity in Lent.

Immediately following Pancake Day comes the great month of abstinence from harmful sinful foods. It is a necessary measure for the celebration of Easter.

Ingredients for milk pancakes:
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- vegetable oil – 4 tablespoons;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- leavening agent – ½ tsp;
- sugar – 3 tbsp;
- flour – 250 g;
- milk – 400 ml;
- cream 10% – 400 ml.
Preparation of milk pancakes:
In a bowl with eggs pour salt and granulated sugar, beat until the grains of sand dissolve. Pour 50 ml of milk into the mixture, sift all the flour with baking powder, knead the dough
. Pour the cream and vegetable oil into the dough, stir and seal the liquid dough tightly
.
Leave the mixture for half an hour in the heat, then stir again and gradually pour the rest of the milk. In
the standard way, bake pancakes on a frying pan on both sides until ruddy color
.
Such pancakes turn out incredibly milky and flavorful.
