In addition to meat pies, the gastronomic culture of our country includes such a dish as pancakes with meat stuffing. Probably, pancakes with meat appeared earlier than pies. But, this theory is not confirmed by historians and archeologists, as no indirect evidence has been found. It
is known that the Slavs have been cooking pancakes since the X century. In the XI century in the pancake began to put various fillings. Such pancakes were served for the nobility, mainly at princely feasts.

Let’s make delicious meat pancakes.
Ingredients of the dough for meat pancakes:
- eggs – 7 pcs;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- sugar – 1 tbsp;
- flour – 300 g;
- milk – 800 g;
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- butter – 40 g;
- onion – 3 pcs;
- minced meat – 1.2 kg;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- milk – 150 g.
Preparation of meat pancakes:
In a bowl break eggs, pour salt and granulated sugar, beat until homogeneous with a whisk. Pour ⅓ of the milk into the egg mixture, pour in the flour, knead the dough without lumps.
Gradually pour the milk into the dough

After adding milk to the liquid batter, pour vegetable oil, mix the pancake batter well.
Heat the frying pan, grease with butter
.
Bake thin pancakes on the frying pan using the standard method – until brown on both sides.
Dice the onion into small cubes and place in a frying pan with heated vegetable and butter oil. Fry the onion until slightly visible golden crust.
Add minced meat to the fried onions, add salt and pour in milk. Fry the mince until all the liquid has evaporated from the meat.
Grind the mince in a meat grinder.
Put a tablespoon of stuffing on each pancake, wrap into an envelope.
Grease a baking dish with butter and place the pancake envelopes on the bottom.
Bake the pancakes in the oven at 180 degrees until golden crust, do not forget to grease with sour cream in advance.
You can also fry the pancake envelopes on a frying pan until browned.
