For modern man, apple pie is a commonplace type of baking. Pies with this filling are prepared everywhere. You can find baked goods with apples in any bakery and in any grocery store. Therefore, apple pies are not a novelty for us for a long time.
In fact, apple pies have been known to mankind for a very long time. The first recipe was written down in the XII century for an English king. So, before that, people already knew how to prepare this pastry and practiced many different recipes.
Let’s create an excellent apple pie at home from a minimum of products

Ingredients for apple pie:
- apples – 5 pcs;
- walnuts – 50 g;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- sugar – 180 g;
- vanillin – 1 g;
- sour cream – 200 g;
- flour – 120 g;
- leavening agent – tsp;
- salt – ⅓ tsp.
Preparation of apple pie:
In a bowl break the eggs, pour sugar and mix thoroughly until the grains of sand dissolve. Add sour cream, vanillin and salt to the mixture, mix the ingredients.
Combine flour and baking powder, sift into the egg mixture and knead a homogeneous dough. Peel the apples from the seed pods and cut into small cubes.
Cover the baking dish with parchment, put ⅔ of the dough on the bottom, spread it on the surface.
Spread an even layer of apples on the dough.
Chop walnuts to coarse crumbs, sprinkle over the apple layer. Fill the apples with the rest of the dough. Bake the pie at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
After cooking, we advise you to sprinkle the pie with powdered sugar.
Nuts will give the baking with apples new unusual flavor notes.
