This is a wonderful salad. My family loved it: they ask me to make it every weekend

Salads, unlike many other dishes, began to develop in the cooking of different nations of the world only after millennia. That is, the first salads appeared in ancient Greece. But this dish began to develop only in the XIX century A.D.

Before the development, salads were an appetizer dish for athletes. They contained only greens and onions. Even a minimal list of vegetables was not included in salad recipes.

Now it is difficult to imagine a salad consisting only of dill and parsley. In our understanding, a salad can be a hearty meal. Let’s make a modern salad with ham and vegetables.

Ingredients for Polish salad:

  • carrots – 3 pcs;
  • eggs – 7 pcs;
  • ham – 200 g;
  • red pepper – pcs;
  • canned peas – 200 g;
  • canned corn – 180 g;
  • mayonnaise – 3 tablespoons;
  • Greek yogurt – 3 tbsp;
  • ground black pepper – ½ tsp;
  • salt – ½ tsp.

Preparation of Polish salad:

Boil peeled carrots for about 15-20 minutes and boil eggs until hard. Cut boiled eggs and carrots into small cubes.

Similarly to eggs and carrots cut ham and peeled red pepper. Transfer all the chopped components into a bowl, pour corn and peas, rid of liquid.

In a separate bowl it is necessary to make dressing

Mix mayonnaise and Greek yogurt, add black pepper and salt.

Dress the salad with the sauce and mix thoroughly
