Ingredients for Portuguese chicken rolls:
- chicken fillets – 3 pcs;
- salt – tsp;
- dill – a bunch;
- cheese – 80 g;
- butter – 100 g;
- egg – pcs;
- breadcrumbs;
- tomato – 4 pcs;
- garlic – 1 clove;
- sweet pepper – pcs;
- oregano;
- honey – tsp.
Preparation of Portuguese chicken rolls:
Slice the chicken fillets lengthwise into thin steaks. Cover the steaks with cling film and beat them with a hammer until they are thinner.
Sprinkle the steaks with salt and black pepper. Beat the steaks on the other side, also salt and pepper.
Finely chop the dill and grate
the cheese. Mix the cheese and dill in a bowl. Spread butter on each steak, spread the dill and cheese mixture on the surface.
Roll each steak into a roll with the filling inside.
Divide each roll into two parts. In a separate container break an egg, beat it.
Cover a baking tray with parchment, grease with vegetable oil. Dip each roll in egg, roll in breadcrumbs and place on the tray.
Bake the rolls at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. In the meantime, cut tomatoes, garlic and peeled pepper into small slices.
Fry vegetables and garlic in a pan with vegetable oil, add oregano and honey. Transfer the vegetables to a blender and whisk until smooth.
