Cooking cakes seems like an incredibly difficult activity for some people. Often the argument that only a pastry chef can make a good cake is a key obstacle for novice cooks. However, it’s worth noting that many famous cakes were often prepared by non-professionals. Through trial and error, great recipes are obtained. Especially

Ingredients of the crust for the cake “Curly Boy”:
- Eggs – 3 pcs;
- Sugar – 150 g;
- Sour cream – 200 g;
- Soda – 1/2 tsp;
- Salt – 1/4 tsp;
- Flour – 160 g;
- Vanilla sugar – 10 g;
- Cocoa – 30 g.
Ingredients for the cream:
- Sour cream 20% – 600 g;
- Sugar – 80 g;
- Vanilla sugar – 10 g.
Ingredients for the glaze:
- Sour cream – 2 tbsp;
- Sugar – 2 tbsp;
- Cocoa – 2 tsp;
- Butter – 15 g.
Preparation of the cake “Curly Boy”:
To prepare the crust in a bowl break eggs, pour salt and granulated sugar, beat with a whisk until the grains of sand dissolve.
Put in the egg mixture sour cream and baking soda, mix.
Into
the egg mixture
sift 130 grams of flour. Divide the dough into two equal parts, pour half of it into another bowl. Pour vanilla sugar and the rest of the flour into one part of the dough and mix.
Sift cocoa into the second part of the dough, mix.
Place parchment in the baking molds – there should be 2 molds for two types of dough.
Grease the bottom and sides of the molds with vegetable oil. We also recommend using trays instead of molds.
Pour the dough into the molds, twisting slightly to avoid unevenness and bubbles.
Bake the cakes in the oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
At this time, prepare the cream – mix in sour cream classic and vanilla sugar until dissolved.
Wait for the cakes to cool slightly, and then cut them across – we get 4 thin cakes.
Cut two of the cakes – chocolate and vanilla into small cubes.
Spread half of the cream on the remaining cakes, or rather on one of them. Spread the cream in an even layer
on the
surface.
On the sour cream layer we put the second whole cake, cover it with cream too.
Soak the cake cubes with the rest of the cream and place them neatly on the surface of the base of the whole cakes.
To prepare the glaze, pour sour cream, sugar and cocoa into a saucepan. On medium heat cook the mixture until darkened.
Pour the glaze
into a pastry
bag and make a beautiful chocolate pattern on the cake.
It remains to cover the cake with a lid and send it to the refrigerator for a couple of hours for soaking.
You get a soaked unusual, yet simple dessert.
