Many people know about the preparation of baked goods from kefir. But not everyone uses recipes for cooking dough on kefir. The reasons for ignoring this method in practice are different. Someone does not really trust this method of preparation, someone does not know how to do it, someone does not like puffy baked goods on kefir.
However, if you correctly bake flatbread on kefir, it will turn out very tasty. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare such baked goods at least once. Flatbreads
on kefir will be a good way to diversify breakfasts.
Ingredients for kefir scones:
- Kefir – 250 ml;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- Flour – 350 g;
- Baking powder – tsp;
- Cheese – 200 g.
Preparation of flatbreads on kefir:
Combine kefir with salt and vegetable oil in a bowl, mix thoroughly. Sift the flour and baking powder into the kefir, knead a soft, non-sticky dough with your hands.
Divide the dough into 8 equal lumps, roll each one into a thin cake. Shred the cheese on a fine grater, put it on 4 tortillas in a circle.
Cover the cheese filling with the rest of the dough. Sew the edges of both sheets together, sealing the filling inside.
You can make a seam pattern with a fork or a braid pattern.
Create a small hole in the middle of the tortillas. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, place a flatbread.
Bake the tortillas on medium heat on both sides until golden.
All in all, you can make a delicious cheese flatbread in 15 minutes.
This is a great analog to chebureks, which does not require special cooking skills.
