It turns out that herring under a fur coat has distant relatives. These salads were prepared in the Scandinavian countries. Not surprisingly, fish salads were famous in Scandinavia.

In the USSR, Herring under a coat appeared in the 1960s, when foreign delights began to seep into the socialist state. Although some historical summaries say that Herring under a fur coat is originally a communist dish.
Let’s prepare this salad in a new way, as an appetizer

Ingredients for appetizer Herring under a fur coat:
- herring fillet – 100 g;
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- beets – 130 g;
- mayonnaise – 60 g;
- dill – 5 g;
- ground black pepper – 1 pinch.
Preparation of appetizer Herring under a fur coat:
Boil hard-boiled eggs, cook separately beets until ready. Rub the peeled beets on a coarse grater. Peel the eggs.
Put in a 0.5 liter jar beet pulp, pour boiling water. Put the peeled eggs in the jar for 10 minutes so that they acquire a purple tint. The
colored eggs cut each in half.
Cut herring fillets into small pieces on food wrap. Put mayonnaise on ⅓ of the cut egg.
On ½ of the egg put a piece of herring, decorate with grated beets and dill.
Do not forget to slightly pepper the appetizer.
