Meat pies always evoke a lot of good emotions in people, as they are associated with coziness and childhood. As statistics shows, most people remember the village pies cooked in the oven. However, now, in urban conditions, it is quite difficult to find a country oven. Therefore, we have to be content with pies from a conventional oven or even a
frying pan. It is not to say that modern pies from the oven or fried on a frying pan are bad. It’s just that they lack the very flavor that pies from the village oven have.
Let’s tell you how to cook delicious and juicy meat pies in a frying pan.
Ingredients for meat patties:
- Potatoes – 150 g;
- Potato broth – 300 g;
- Flour – 500 g;
- Yeast – 1 tsp;
- Salt – 1.5 tsp;
- Sugar – 2 tsp;
- Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp;
- Meat – 200 g;
- Rice – 200 g;
- Onions – 3 pcs.
Preparation of meat patties:
Boil peeled potatoes and knead to a mashed state.
Pour
the potato broth to the mashed potatoes, stir.
Pour to the warm broth, salt (tsp.), granulated sugar and yeast. Pour in parts into the mixture of flour, knead elastic and not sticky dough.
After the dough kneaded into a lump, leave it in the heat under a lid for 1 hour. Dice
small onions, fry in a frying pan. Separately
boil
meat until ready, chop in a meat grinder.
Boil rice until ready.
Put to the fried onions meat and rice, fry all components together, salt. Knead the dough and divide it into 12 equal rolls.
Knead the rolls into tortillas, where we put the stuffing. Seal the filling inside the dough.
Fry the patties on both sides in vegetable oil.
Puffy soft meat patties are obtained even with a small amount of meat.
This is a good recipe if you don’t want to heat up the oven.
