The main source of culinary delights of antiquity is Rome. The first cakes and even salads were prepared there. Even more interesting is that the Romans invented an analog of sausage. That is, cooks made oblong pieces of meat, which were fried or baked in ovens.
Later, this dish received a different name – meatloaf
.
The fact is that this meat product was inferior to the Chinese sausage. Therefore, it is not possible to consider this dish – sausage.
It is worth telling more about how to quickly prepare a roll of minced meat with stuffing inside.
Ingredients for meatloaf:
- minced meat – 700 g;
- onions – 200 g;
- eggs – 9 pcs;
- breadcrumbs – 2 tbsp;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- sweet paprika – ¼ tsp;
- curry – ¼ tsp;
- dry herbs – ¼ tsp;
- dried garlic – ¼ tsp.
Preparation of meatloaf:
Boil 8 hard-boiled eggs. To the minced meat pass through a meat grinder onions, add egg and breadcrumbs. Salt the minced meat, mix thoroughly until homogeneous and leave under cellophane for 10 minutes.
Peel the hard-boiled eggs, cut off the rounded side ends. Cut out a couple of 40×40 cm sheets of parchment, grease with vegetable oil
and sprinkle the surface of the parchment with sweet paprika, curry, dry herbs and dried garlic. Spread an even layer of mincemeat on the spices, place eggs lengthwise in the middle of the meat layer.
It is important to lay the eggs tightly to each other.
Wrap the eggs tightly in the layer of minced meat, creating a roll. Parchment, in which the roll is located, fix in several places with twine. Put the roll on a dry frying pan, bake it for about 15 minutes on moderate heat.
Don’t forget to turn the roll over so that it bakes evenly.
Leave the roll in the parchment for 5 minutes to let the meat soak up the juices.
This meatloaf with egg inside will be a hearty and nutritious dinner for the whole family.
