Ingredients for manniki:
- milk – liter;
- sugar – tbsp;
- semolina – 13 tbsp. l.;
- salt – a pinch;
- sour milk cheese – 100 g;
- egg – 4 pcs;
- vanillin – a pinch.
Preparation of manniki:
Bring milk to a boil, add salt and granulated sugar. Take the boiling milk off the heat, gradually sift semolina into it. Be sure, sifting the groats, mix them in the milk.
On medium heat continue to cook porridge, bring to a thickening. Stir the porridge so that it does not burn in the pot.
Sprinkle the work surface with flour, pour water into a deep bowl. Dip a spoon in water, scoop out semolina, lay it on the surface sprinkled with flour.
In a separate bowl, mix sour milk cheese with egg and vanilla, add sugar and salt to taste, mix. You can also put raisins and candied fruit in the cheese.
Roll a ball of semolina dough with your hands into a thick flatbread, where you put the filling. Seal the filling into the semolina dough.
It is desirable to dip your hands in flour so that the dough does not stick to your palms.
Pour 50 ml of vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it up. In a bowl break eggs, beat. Dip the patties in the egg mixture, transfer them to the frying pan.
Fry the patties on both sides on low heat until golden.
Transfer the patties to a deep pan, add a little butter and sugar.
